MY FIRST EXPERIENCE DOING ROLEPLAY

Me and my group chose to take “Maleficent” as our first roleplay. At first we only take it as a joke and think we can change the title later. But sadly we cant. We tried to persuade Miss Dini to change the title but she still want us to do “Maleficent”. We almost cried out that time. First we think is hard since its the most emotional movie. And the props its really hard to do. 

After a small discussion with Miss Dini, she asked us to do something different. She asked Aizat and Redza to be a girls. We laughed hard at that moment. Seriously? A boy changed into a girl? After look at both guy i think its must be something interesting. So we chose Aizat as main cast which is Maleficent and Redza as Princess Aurora. Then all the girls be the fairies. Since its the suitable cast for us. 

After a few day we became so excited and busy. Busy preparing our props and scripts. At weekend i went home just because of want to find all the props. The most important is Maleficent’s horn. How people want to recognise Maleficent without her asset. So i went to all toy’s store. Its hard to find the Maleficent’s horn. Then we found it at the next store. And the price is really killing us. Its Rm50++ for a horn. I found that really an expensive thing since we only use it for once. 

Then i went home with empty hand. I check out the youtube and find out how to do Maleficent’s horn. Then i found one video that are really simple. So i told my dad that i want to buy the diy things. Then he brought me to DIY store and bought some tools and needs for this horn. Its only cost about RM30 

We are too busy with our assignment and homework so that we only do our practice twice. Once we do it at collage which is only a simply read dialogue. Second one was at night before our roleplay-day. Were getting too tired and stress. Since we only laugh while doing rehearsal. After a few hours we spend together we decided to went to our room and doing preparation such as props and also our assignment. We slept at 5am that day. I must called is as VERY STRESSFUL NIGHT. Were struggling to finish it up. 

At the morning of our roleplay-day suddenly rains comes down. Feels like something heartbreaking. At our mind that moment only “how i supposed to bring all the props to collage”. Then Redza called us and told that he been waited a long time at infront our hostel. He said he brought a car. We feel so thankful

That moment when is almost our turn. We’re getting too nervous. We changed our clothes. So do Redza and Aizat which is they have to wear girls’ dress and makeup. This is little embarrassing for them but they have to. 

While doing a performance theres a lot of funny moment, such like Redza need to jump around and pretending to play with himself happily. Then when the moment of Redza’s crown is falls down. We cant stop laughing at the back stage. ITS SO FUNNY! And that moment we found Miss Dini and Miss Azlin also laugh. 

After finished the performance we feel so freedom and happy. No more stress. I am really thankful to all especially my teammate, classmate, parents and also my beloved lecturer. This is the best moment that i got for my first year being together. Hope we can do it again in the future

We choose 'Maleficent' because we thought that we can change it if we want afterwards. But no! Our lecturer didn't gave us permission for us to change our role play title despite she encourage us to do a role play on Maleficent because she thought that it is one of a kind and it is not easy to do role play on that title. At that time, I feel that I just hit a rock bottom because I thought that it was impossible for us to do because it was not an easy task. Our dear lecturer, Miss Dini gave us some idea that is to cast Aizat as the Maleficent while Redza will be casting as Princess Aurora. She thought that it will be fun if a guy becomes a female character.

   After a discussion, Redza and i will be a women. Redza as Princess Aurora, Nazifa as Knotgrass, Erisya as Flittle, Sakinah as thistletwit and I as Maleficent. After a few days we didn't do anything yet while other groups have made various preparations. We started to feel the pressure. Then I'm volunteered to write the script and passed it to all my group members.

   Then we tried to practise but not with action, only with our voice. We set the time as a lecturer gave us less than 20 minutes. Yes we managed to make it less than 20 minutes but too short because less than 10 minutes. Then we discussed how to make this story expended, our character not to talk to fast and add some movement to delay the time. I have added up few lines of script to make sure that our story more then 15 minutes.

   We started to memorize our script. Day by day and there is only one day left to practise and my group don't have any props but thanks to Sakinah because she have made the Maleficent thorn which is the important prop for my character. At 8.30 p.m. our group made a full rehearsal for our role play tomorrow. We practised only two times during that night.

   The day has arrived, our heart was pounding because that was our first time to be performing live on stage. We are lucky because our turn was at 6.30 p.m. and the hall was filled with our classmate only. I am prepared to put lipstick and wear a dress to look more seductive. I resigned because it was my first and last being female.




   Its our turn and we were doing very well on stage. Im proud for taking the Maleficent at it best as i could eventhough it was my very first time. The funny part when Redza was running like a girl and his crown fell down, I tried not to laugh but I cant because Redza looked so funny at that time and Miss Dini also laughed. That part was the funniest moment that i could not forgotten.

   Thanks to all my group members for this memory that i will remembered it in my life.

This story begins in the afternoon we have a class with Miss Nur Dini at the college. Miss Dini is a good person but firm. We were given the task to find the title to make a role play. My group members are proud to choose the story maleficent because we have no idea. After the next class my group members want to change the story because maleficent is quite hard to do role play. But our lecturer didn't gave us permission for us to change our role play title because she said that this story would be fun to make role play. Our lecturer gave us the idea to play the character in this story. She told us to play a female character as this would make the story more interesting. This is not a good idea because my life has never been a woman but i will try to make this story interesting.

My Experience Preparation of Doing Role Play

All first semester students at KPTM Bangi must do a role play for the subject of Proficiency English 1. One day, we received instructions from our lecturer  that we have to discuss by group for the group title of the story for our role play. She give us time to discuss too short. We have no idea what to act out the story. That night, our group member, Aizat  suggests ' Maleficient ' for our group. We all support because we lost the idea. On the next class, we suggest to exchange another story but we do not allow by our lecturer. We have no idea because my group have 2 boys and 3 girls that is Redza, Aizat, Sakinah, Nazifa and me, Erisya. We discuss with our lecturer, Miss Nur Dini to give us some ideas. She suggested Sakinah as a Thistletwit, Nazifa as a Knotgrass and me as a Flittle. Another two boys that is Redza as a Princess Aurora and Aizat as a Maleficent. Our lecturer said it would be interesting and fun if Redza and Aizat take character as a girl.

Aizat made the script because he volunteers to make it alone. After a few days, we are still waiting for our script from Aizat and we didn't do anything yet while other group is in the process of setting up what not done yet. We begin to feel depressed at that time and jealous with other group and one day, Aizat give us our script and the results disappointed because it was too short. We asked him to add some script and make it longer because the role play should not be more than 20 minutes. On the next day, we received a new script from him. After that, we just practice using voice only and without action. We own practice and began to memorize our scripts. Days gone by and we have one day left to practice and the next day is the day for role play. We practice two times only that night. We sad that our script maybe in 10 minutes only. We talked and Aizat suggested on the day we role play, we have to make more action and not talk too fast to make our role play more longer. On that night, nazifa and me asked Redza to buy goods to make props and buy her own crown to wear on the day we performed. That night , the three of us that is Sakinah, Nazifa and me slept late because preparing props except Maleficent horn made by Sakinah. Awaited day has arrived, we were so worried because this is the first time we performed on stage in front of people. We are very grateful because our turn at 6:30 p.m and that time just have our classmate only.

We performed the best on the stage.The funny part is Nazifa forget her script when we performed on the stage. All those who were in the hall laughed because Nazifa. That moment i'll never forget because it too funny for me. I think everyone enjoy when we acted on the stage. I am extremely satisfied with my group who have done everything well on that time.      After a short discussion, we agree to proceed with 'Maleficent' as our role play title with Aizat as Maleficent, Redza as Princess Aurora, me as Knotgrass, Erisya as Flittle and Sakinah as Thistletwit. Aizat volunteered himself to write the script as he is the one who suggested that title first. A few days passed and we didn't do anything yet while the other group has proceed with their script, list of props and so on. We started to feel the pressure and after about two days later then we got our script. But it just one and a half page script! We were so shocked to see that it was too short and we asked Aizat to add some scene and make it longer.

     After all the hardship then we got our full script. We tried to practise once but not with action. We just use our voice and tried to imitate how the characters in the movie talks just to see whether we passed the time limit or not. The role play should not be more than 20 minutes. Unfortunately yeah we managed to make it less than 20 minutes but things that saddens us was it was too short maybe for just 10 minutes. We started to feel burdened all over again. Aizat suggested that we have to make more action and not to talk too fast to make our role play longer.

     After that we started to memorize our script. Days passed by and there it is we only have one day left to practise as the next day was the day of the role play. We don't have any props yet except Maleficents horn that Sakinah made by herself. I urged Redza to buy crown, coloured paper, mahjong paper marker pen and so on to make some props as we didn't have any. I planned to make some grass props and a spinning wheel using a box. We practise two times only that night and hoping that we could do better the next day.

     The day that we fear the most had arrived and we are so nervous yet excited to perform on stage because this is our first time to be performing live on stage. We are lucky because our team turn was at 6:30 p.m. and the hall was filled with our classmates only.

     We put on some make up on Aizat and Redza. The funninest part was when Redza had to wear a dress as he acts as a princess. We also put a scarf and a crown on his head to make him looks more girlish.

     Our turn has come and we perform our best on stage. The embarrassed part was when I forgot my script. I tried not to laugh but i can't because that was a very funny moment. I saw that Miss Dini and our fellow classmates enjoy our role play thanks to Aizat and Redza who can act very well I guess.

     This will be a memory that I will cherish forever in my life. I was super duper satisfied with our role play that day after all the hardship that we have gone through.

MY FAVOURITE PLACE TO HANGOUT WITH FRIEND

Almost every month me and my friends would like to spend our time to hangout at Sunway Lagoon. One of the best adventure, place that i have been before. 

My first time went there with my friends when i was 15 right after last paper of pmr. This places is kinda expensive at my age that time but its really worthy.

MY FAVOURITE PLACE TO HANGOUT WITH FRIENDS

My favorite place to hangout with my friends is Setia City Mall, Shah Alam. 

As a teenagers like me,I must not run away from the world of entertainment. When I have time, I will try to spend my time with my friends. Setia CityMall is a place I always come with my friends . We spend time together      almost a day and go home lately. When I hangout with my friends, I think   the burden had been missing. Spending time with friends to strengthen the relationship that exists not waste time. I chose this place to hang out with my friends because it was not far from my home and this place is a public place. I would often watch the movie, eat, shopping, bowling, karaoke and chit chat with them. 
We always spend time till late evening is sitting in the field. This field has become crowded. Every day in the evening, the field will be filled with people. We can also take pictures, bring food and eat there.Kite flying and bubble giant . You can buy kites from one of the many sellers located there. Bubble liquid bowls are sold for just RM 3-4.

My favourite place to hangout with my friends

My favourite place to hangout with my friends are at a restaurant in Sungai Petani that called Lebai Restaurant. We make a point to visit it every time we are in here and recommend it to everyone we know. The menu has a wide variety of food but most people go for the shisha (they have very special shisha and you can even smoke shisha out of a watermelon) and the drinks. What's nice about this restaurant is that it is popular among foreigners especially middle-eastern that have exquisite taste of shisha.If you like outdoor cafes and trees you'll love it! You can go at anytime of the year because they have huge dining space outside that cool the areas where people sit. The seating is so comfortable that you can relax with your friends for hours.If you don't like shisha this is not the place for you... As the smell of a number of different flavors of shisha continually wafts through the air. You can bring children but I would say that it is more of a place to bring older kids and adults than young children.

The term “Hipster Cafés” implies trendy cafés which are deemed favorite hangout spots for youngsters usually the Millennials, expecially the Generation Y. From a standpoint, cafés largely serve as centres of social interaction, providing a place for people to gather, talk and chit-chat. However, today the bar to attract attention has been raised manifold.While good atmosphere of a café has become a pre-requisite, customers also expect a high level of creativity in the whole concept as well as quality in the food and drinks served. Though being unique is a factor, balancing it with simplicity is crucial too.

 Cat in the Box

Amber Wong and Muzhir Yusuf are coffee lovers who are passionate about good coffee.  They started off Cat in The Box by providing mobile coffee services, coupled with organisations and gradually built its brand through appearance in events. And now, the “little cat” has moved from a “mobile box” to a physical café, to continue its mission to serve good food and coffees to its customers.

The café was recently relocated to Empire Damansara, on the first floor, right above Gravy Factory. It’s drenched in natural sunlight, bigger, and airier – perfect for photography when the calming view of Damansara Perdana’s suburban foliage through the metres-high windows is at its most impressive. It’s definitely a cozy and warm place to throw a small group gathering with friends. Every weekend at least once a month this place is the most favourite place we love to hangout. We will spend our time almost half a day here and end up going back home late in the night.   

Everytime i came here we must try the Coffee – brewed from the exclusively East Timor beans, farmed using traditionally organic methods, gives you a smooth, nutty, with mild acidity texture. If you like cold coffee, East Timor Cold Brew is a must-try – East Timor beans, cold-brewed for over 24 hours, and served as a latte or Americano. Rich, bold, and smooth. AWESOME!

They even have very talented coffee artists who can make 3D coffee arts that will leave you impressed. Besides coffee beverages, Cat In The Box also offers visitors fruity teas, including lemon and ginger, chamomile and superfruit. As for light food, you may not want to miss out the #TheRoyCohn Sandwich, created specially for the theatre production “Angels in America” by theatrethreesixty.
